Website Accessibility

The text is too small – how can I make it bigger?

You can adjust the font size in the following way:
For Chrome users click on the spanner icon and adjust the page zoom.
For Internet Explorer go to View > Text size and select Larger or Largest.

For Firefox users can alter the size of the displayed text by using Control and the Plus/Minus keys to increase/decrease the font size.
Most browsers support the user holding the Control key down whilst rolling the centre wheel of a wheel mouse to increase or decrease the screen zoom.

Should you need more help

There is a particularly good resource for helping you with using the internet and websites on the BBC website – ‘My Web, My Way’. This goes into detail explaining how you can change your computer settings to make websites easier to use, read and view.

You can speech enable websites with ‘Browsealoud’

BrowseAloud adds speech and reading support to online content to extend the reach of websites for the 20% of the population who require reading support.

It helps people with Dyslexia, learning difficulties, mild visual impairments and those with English as a second language.

BrowseAloud is free to use and works with all major browsers.
