David Spear Commercial Vehicles has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the local community by donating £1,000 to Hospice of the Valleys and taking part in the charity’s inspiring Flowers for Forever in Bloom campaign.

Members of the David Spear team, Geraint Yeo and Lewis Parfitt, joined volunteers in the beautiful grounds of Bedwellty House and Park, Tredegar, to help plant hundreds of commemorative daffodils as part of the Hospice’s 2026 campaign.

This year’s display, themed ‘The Year of the Daffodil‘, gave families the opportunity to dedicate a daffodil in memory of a loved one. Symbolising hope, resilience and new beginnings, the stunning floral display provided a peaceful place for reflection and remembrance before culminating in a commemorative service celebrating the lives of those no longer with us.
Despite the challenging temperatures on planting day, volunteers worked tirelessly to create a display that will bring comfort and hope to visitors throughout the commemorative weekend.

Commenting on the company’s involvement, Geraint Yeo said:

“Supporting charities in our local community is an important part of our Corporate Social Responsibility. Hospice of the Valleys carries out remarkable work, providing care and support to local families during some of the most difficult times in their lives. We were delighted to help plant the display and make a donation to support the continuation of these vital services.”
The £1,000 donation will help Hospice of the Valleys continue providing compassionate care and essential support to patients and their loved ones across the local community when it is needed most.

At David Spear Commercial Vehicles, supporting organisations that make a genuine difference is central to the company’s values. Whether through fundraising, volunteering or community partnerships, the business remains committed to making a positive and lasting impact across the region.
