David Spear Commercials has stepped in to support a local Tredegar primary school after its minibus was stolen and destroyed in an incident that gained widespread attention, including coverage by the BBC News and regional press.
St Joseph’s RC School was left without a vital resource following the theft, impacting pupils’ ability to take part in school trips, sports fixtures, and extracurricular activities.
Recognising the importance of the minibus to the school community, David Spear Commercials acted quickly to supply a replacement vehicle. The minibus was provided at a heavily discounted rate and delivered fully prepared, complete with professional signwriting, ensuring it was ready for immediate use.
Strong Community Connections
The support reflects a long-standing relationship between the business and the school. Located just over a mile apart, the connection runs deep, with shared history and ongoing ties.
Among the David Spear team are brothers Lewis and Daniel Parfitt, both former pupils of the school, who were taught by the current headteacher, Mr John McMorrow. Their story is just one example of the close-knit relationship between the organisation and the local community.
David Spear Commercials also originally supplied the minibus that was stolen several years ago, making the replacement even more meaningful.
