David Spear Commercials Charity Year 2015 “DCS Supporting the RNIB” Campaign, raising money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People

As you all may already know, as we reach nearly thirty years of business our aim is to put something back into the community with our new Charity Year 2015.

For every vehicle we sell during 2015 we will donate £10 to charity, donating to a different charity every month chosen by a member of our staff.

April was the choice of Rhian, our Business Administrator, who chose the RNIB Cymru. This is a charity that is very close to Rhian’s heart with her sister being partially sighted.

Following another fantastic month of sales and the combined support of employees, suppliers and customers alike we were able to raise £975 for the RNIB Cymru.

Our efforts even gained us a visit from the Mayor of Tredegar, Ryan Watkins who is also a huge supporter of the RNIB: “As an ambassador for the RNIB, during my term as Mayor, and suffering with some sight loss myself, I have come to see first-hand the amazing work and support that the RNIB give to those who suffer. I would like to thank David Spear Commercials, for the amazing fundraising they have done during the month of April, and can guarantee that the money raised will be used in such a worthwhile way”

Regional Fundraising Manager for the RNIB also said: “I would like to thank all of David Spears’ staff and customers for raising this incredible amount of money in the month of April. RNIB Cymru exists to make a difference. We provide services and products, nationally and locally, which enable people with sight loss to live independently and with dignity. Your money will go towards helping support the adults and children living with sight loss across Wales, so thank you once again”

We would also like to thank everyone who helped us support the RNIB during April for their efforts and hope that your support continues throughout 2015
