Wales’s leading new and used van dealership, David Spear Commercial Vehicles earn recognition at the Blaenau Gwent Business Awards

LCV dealership David Spear Commercial Vehicles celebrates achieving a runner up position in the SME of the Year at the Blaenau Gwent Awards. The award acknowledges the innovation and hard-work of all that were shortlisted.

The event’s primary focus is to generate greater awareness of the business achievements within the Blaenau Gwent county. A reoccurring theme from the night was economic development-how the room of over 100 people from the Blaenau Gwent business community represented a celebration of growth for areas that have previously witnessed economic hardship.

Participants received their accolades at a dazzling ceremony held at the General Offices, Ebbw Vale which was attended by Cabinet Secretary Ken Skates AM and Blaenau Gwent AM Alun Davies.

“The Blaenau Gwent Business Awards is the perfect opportunity to appreciate the diversity and true successes on our doorstep! To be considered as one of Blaenau Gwent’s most successful and exceptional businesses is wonderful. The team at David Spear Commercial Vehicles work hard to continuously learn and improve, so we can meet our customer’s needs, deliver exceptional customer service and drive our business forward”.

“We are proud of our heritage and as a business, I feel that we embody and embrace important values from the history of our area- that’s what makes us unique to other dealerships”, expressed director David Spear.

The prize of Small Medium Business of the year was awarded to Tredegar-based Atal UK, specialists in structural waterproofing across the whole of the UK. Winners of the other categories included companies such as The Warehouse Hair & Beauty Supplies and The Eden Education Centre. However, it was Performance Master Batches Limited that won the final award of the night of the award- the prestigious business of the year.
