Our COVID-19 ‘Circuit-Breaker’ Statement

DSCV COVID-19 ‘Circuit-Breaker’ Statement

Following the announcement by the Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford regarding the ‘Circuit-Breaker’ lockdown being implemented from Friday 23rd of October.  We want to reassure our customers and stakeholders that David Spear Commercial Vehicles are continuing their efforts to follow the government and local authority guidelines. We have and will continue to incorporate policies that will ensure the safety and health of everyone involved in our business.

At this stage, no member of our team or extended staff have any confirmed symptoms of COVID-19, nor have they been in contact with anyone who has contracted the virus or have recently returned from any country that were required to quarantine.

In working to the advice and guidelines set up by the National Government with regards to the Circuit-Breaker we will remain open as usual during the lockdown and continue to offer our services to all essential businesses. In doing this we will also introduce the below rules to ensure that all reasonable measures are taken to mitigate the spread of coronavirus. These rules are in line with regulation 13 of the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (No. 2) (Wales) Regulations 2020 (the “Coronavirus Regulations”):

  • take all reasonable measures to ensure that a distance of 2 metres between all persons is maintained on particular premises;
  • ensure that other reasonable measures are taken to minimise risk of exposure to the virus, in particular by limiting close face to face interaction and by improving hygiene;
  • provide information to those entering or working at the premises about how to minimise risk.

To help enforce the above rules during the lockdown we will only be allowing non-staff on site by appointment only and will manage all non-essential contacts using web-based technologies as opposed to face-to-face

In addition to the above we will regularly be monitoring the wellness of our staff members and if any have come in to contact with COVID-19 or have contracted it, we will follow all W.H.O and Public Health Wales guidelines at that time.

If you would like to discuss any of the above with us, please get in touch by e-mailing james@david-spear.com
